Local Impact Micro Grants

In collaboration with The Our Fund Foundation


For 2026, The Skirt Foundation has secured $17,500 from The Our Fund Foundation to be granted to organizations serving LGBTQ women. Of this total, $7,500 will be offered through an abbreviated rolling application process throughout 2026, with a maximum grant amount of $1000, to be used for any project expense needed. To qualify, nonprofit organizations must demonstrate the following:


  • Have an annual operating budget of $100,000 or less
  • Requested grant must be earmarked for a specific project
  • Project must directly benefit Broward, Miami-Dade, or Palm Beach county
  • Grant must be used in 2026 calendar year
  • Full project budget is required

Below you will find brief overviews of the grants funding available in 2026. We've included specific items that applicants will need to address in grant proposals. Please note, however, that this is not an exhaustive list. Our Request for Proposals window will open in summer 2026. Please check back for specific dates, or sign up for our newsletter to receive updates on grant opportunities as they become available.

All proposals must be from:

Woman-led or woman-focused organizations for projects that align with our stated mission. 

All proposals must include:

The project's main objective(s), steps to achieving the objective(s), and the key success indicators. Explain how the organization's purpose and project align with The Skirt Foundation's mission and funding priorities. Include a budget that shows the total grant request, administrative fees, and other funding sources, among other budgetary items.

Women in the Arts Grant

Our Women in the Arts Grant application window opens on June 29, 2026. Please check back at that time.


Grants will range between $1000 and $5000, and will be awarded to:


  • Organizations whose mission is content creation in literature, visual or performing arts, design, or music, by and/or for women, or
  • Organizations whose mission is the advancement of women in the above listed areas through education, programming, or similar opportunities.


If your organization has hiring policies in place, provide a description of how your current and historical hiring and promotion practices demonstrate gender equity as a priority.


Please note: individuals are not eligible for this grant.

Women's Economic Advancement Grant

Our Women's Economic Advancement Grant application window opens on May 25, 2026. Please check back at that time.


Grants will range between $1000 and $5000, and will be awarded to:


  • Organizations whose missions advance women in the field of business or philanthropic/charitable work, or
  • Organizations with educational or skills building programs that enhance and improve women's practical and educational skills, furthering upward mobility in their chosen business or philanthropic/charitable pursuits. Eligible projects/programs may include but are not limited to educational programs or seminars, mentorship programs, and scholarship programs.

Women's Health Initiatives Grant

Project proposals for Women's Health Initiatives funding should focus specifically and primarily on women's health issues. Project focus can include but is not limited to nutritional needs, breast cancer awareness, HIV, mental health, menopause, and unique health concerns and requirements at various stages of women's lives.
