Overview of grant opportunities in 2025

Below you will find brief overviews of the grants funding available in 2025. We've included specific items that applicants will need to address in grant proposals. Please note, however, that this is not an exhaustive list. Our Request for Proposals window will open in spring 2025. All proposals must be from:

Woman-led or woman-focused organizations for projects that align with our stated mission. 

All proposals must include:

The project's main objective(s), steps to achieving the objective(s), and the key success indicators. Explain how the organization's purpose and project align with The Skirt Foundation's mission and funding priorities. Include a budget that shows the total grant request, administrative fees, and other funding sources, among other budgetary items.

Women in the Arts Grant

Project proposals for Women in the Arts funding should have a visual or performing arts, design, literary, or arts education focus. If your organization has hiring policies in place, provide a description of how your current and historical hiring and promotion practices demonstrate gender equity as a priority.

Women's Economic Advancement Grant

Project proposals for Women's Economic Advancement funding should focus on establishing, growing, or expanding businesses or charitable pursuits. Projects can include but are not limited to direct funding for specific organizations, educational programs or seminars, mentorship programs, and scholarship programs. If your organization has hiring policies in place, provide a description of how your current and historical hiring and promotion practices demonstrate gender equity as a priority.

Women's Health Initiatives Grant

Project proposals for Women's Health Initiatives funding should focus specifically and primarily on women's health issues. Project focus can include but is not limited to nutritional needs, breast cancer awareness, HIV, mental health, menopause, and unique health concerns and requirements at various stages of women's lives.
